Brand Spotlight: Paper24
Hi WashiGang Fam! It's WashiGang team member Emily here and today I'm checking out the brand new Paper24 Dot Grid Bullet Journals! New to WashiGang, we're all so excited to try out these beautifully made journals. Read ahead for our pen test and our thoughts on the Paper24 Dot Grid Bullet Journal. When I hold a Paper24 A5 Dot Grid Bullet Journal in my hands, the first thing I notice is the lightly textured fabric cover with a shining insignia on the front. This notebook feels quite similar to an Archer & Olive Notebook and the fabric cover has a feeling of quality. I've chosen the brown notebook with a silver foil quill & ink bottle on the front. I open the hard cover to snow white paper that's silky smooth to touch! The bright white paper is weighted 160gsm and each page is numbered. The next thing that I notice is how flat the pages lay when the journal is open! Paper24 bullet journals are hand tied, so that it stays perfectly open, which is ideal for photographing your bullet journal spreads and creations for social media!
There's also a little pocket at the back for storing your love notes and treasures.
Who are Paper24? Based in The Netherlands and founded by Peggy Simons, Paper24 Bullet Journals were started out of a love of everything writing, drawing, calligraphy and above all else, journals! Peggy started their own stationery shop in The Netherlands in 2009 and in 2020 decided to develop their own bullet journals, with the main goal of high quality paper. Peggy created high quality journals with the hope that they will last for a long time, "I believe that journals are ‘paper treasure chests’ and should remain with you for a long time."
Peggy received so many positive reviews about the Paper24 Bullet Journals, particularly about the quality of the paper and how there was no ghosting or bleeding! The paper has been extensively tested with various water-based writing and drawing instruments and is resistant to ghosting and bleeding. The results have been compared to other bullet journals and the Paper24 bullet journal comes out as (one of) the best. We thought we'd try a pen test with the new Paper24 Dot Grid Bullet Journal to see for ourselves and we were very happy with the results. The paper feels silky smooth to write on. After testing a number of different brush pens, gel pens and markers we didn't find any ghosting or bleeding.
Here are the results:
Peggy says, "My dream is that every person can reach their creative potential in these journals. And that stimulates me every day."
